Un fuoriclasse del Made in Italy

Alessandro Pasquale è oggi uno dei talenti emergenti nel mondo del design sulla piazza americana. Nato a Padova, classe 1983, si è trasferito a New York 10 anni fa e, dopo alcune esperienze in prestigiosi studi di architettura locali, ha deciso di realizzare ilproprio sogno mettendosi in proprio. Un tipico percorso da "sogno americano", fatto di impegni e sacrifici, che hanno portato oggi Alessandro a essere riconosciuto tra i designer più influenti nel mondo del design più specificatamente nel settore dell'hospitality e residenziale. A New York ha firmato il design di ristoranti stellati ma le collaborazioni non si fermano alla grande mela: Miami, Milano, Los Angelese dove ha appena firmato uil contratto con un'agenzia di talenti, Messico, a Tulum, dove collaborerà con hotelier e costruttori, hotel design e ville residenziali. A breve inoltre firmerà il design per un ristorante in West End, Australia. Al momento sta pianificndo e disegnando la sua linea di arredamento.

MY "You have a unique background in Reinassance education and yet a contemporary style. That's a fascinating juxtaposition. It almost makes you unclassifiable."
AP "If you think you want to be a designer just because it's cool to be a designer or just to be called a designer, you're not going to go anywhere because your aim is off. You're playing with ego. So that's why I don't like to be classified. Yes, I studied architecture. I can be classified by society as an architect. But when the construction crew calls me an architect, I tell them, "Just call me Alessandro."

Townhouse in Rome


Located in Trastevere, one of the most historical neighbordhoods in Rome, Townhouse in Roma is placed in the middle of history in a building dating back to 1800. The design approach was to create an "urban loft" that retains the unedited landscape of rebuilding, yet is complete and comfortable.
The sleek concrete walls span from the ground to the third floor. They stand as sharp dividers that force functionality and inspire creativiy while withstanding the test of time, necessary for modern living.

An Italian Bar Fit for Romance in Greenwich Village


Earlier this decade, there where few downtown restaurants hotter than the Lion, a celebrity-packed canteenrun by John DeLucie in a Greenwich Village townhouse. But the restaurant got sold and the crowd moved on. In July, a quierer restaurant, Casa Apicii, took over in the space, and a second-floor chamber was turned into ad intimate cocktail annex called Bar Fortuna with just 20 seats.
